Just a heads up, all the broth tastes like fish no matter what soup you order. I ordered brisket noodle soup which tasted strongly of fish. My friend ordered pork noodle soup which also tasted like fish. Plain won ton soup also tasted like fish. Plus it smelled like fish obviously too.
The spicy won tons were decent but the insides had an inconsistent texture (some chunks, other smooth and pasty) but was overall decent.
I mainly just want ti warn anyone ordering a beef soup, expecting beef soup, to beware that it all tastes like fish.
Such a great place to stop by and beat the cold! The soups were on point and the service was amazing! I am glad we bumped into this spot! The wonton soup was a favorite and the noodles were tasty and the broth was rich! I love this place for sure will come back!
Honestly THE BEST scallion pancakes I have ever had! Crunchy, buttery, salty. Just perfection. Also make sure you order the soup pan friend dumplings—amazing! Service is super quick and restaurant is clean.
This place totally nailed it with their scallion pancakes, Szechuan dumplings, and the dumpling soup! It’s perfect for a chill, tasty meal. 3 weeks later we still talk about how delicious the food was!
Such a lovely assortment of traditional Cantonese dishes! The seafood soup dumplings were easily the best I’ve had in a while. The Siu Lung Bao flavor balance and texture was exceptional. They also make and sell their own chili so I was lucky to score their last jar.
Very traditional Cantonese food, good not great. What up with changing $2 for plain rice even if you ordered a main entree that should come with rice?
I’m surprised they don’t charge extra $2 for noodles in a noodle dish 🤦🏻♂️
Average value, average experience. Clean and spacious restaurant. Decent HK won ton soup for $15.15 (including tax). There was complementary milk tea (before 11a weekdays). They EXPECT a tip, despite minimum service.
To slightly elaborate: it was a challenge to get someone to bring the bill, even after waiting 10-15 min after visibly being done eating. There were a lot of staff with only 60% of seating filled. After getting the bill it was equally difficult to get someone to take my card (!). I left cash tip on the table and brought the bill to the cashier, due to time constraints. More waiting since the first staff didn’t know how to work the system. The second staff that was able to charge the card then said “WHY NO TIP?”. For 1 bowl of won ton noodle soup at $15.15, the tip is for service. I was very tempted to walk back to get the cash tip off the table, but instead said “tip is on the table”.
Red oil wontons (H1) were full of juicy little shrimp and the dumplings (H5) were super savory. Barley tea was good and hot. Service was fast and friendly. They take card and touches payments. Note that this location does not have the shengjian bao!
